L'avis du Guide Michelin
Its name refers to Forty-four South Village, one of the many juan-cun – housing projects built circa 1950s for those in the military and their families. The founder and his partner are descendants of such families and they strive to subvert the stereotypes about juan-cun cooking – filling food that lacks refinement. The modern, cosy bistro serves spruced-up juan-cun classics made with quality ingredients, such as red braised kurobuta pork belly.
