This is a long and colorful spot settled within a nondescript building that faces the street. Beyond the host station up front, there are three communal tables with low stools. True, the décor may sound basic, but a massive mural and suspended light fixtures composed with what looks like "sticky rice" baskets make for charming design elements.Service is simple yet special; and the menu, albeit compact, is laden with Laotian street food. Spice-rubbed chicken wings arrive piping hot and gently charred; while pork laab tossed with toasted rice powder, cilantro, lime and mint is a delightful special. Next up is the eponymous purple sticky rice—with coconut sauce and chopped mango. Toasted coconut flakes add a delicious flourish to this clever rendition.-
