The Knipsers, a well-known family of winemakers from Laumersheim, opened Halbstück as a wine tavern back in 2014. Christian Rubert, who is also known for his work at the restaurant Karlbacher in Großkarlbach, has now taken over as head chef here. His roots in Alsace are evident in his dishes, which pair beautifully with the finest wines from the Knisper winegrowing estate. Laura Rubert provides warm hospitality in a cosy setting. Delightful courtyard. They also offer guided wine tastings (for 10 people or more) and accept bookings for weddings and conferences. A holiday flat is available to rent out, too.
