Blending in with residential spaces nearby and without a proper sign, Chang Sheng 29 is easy to miss. The simple room has a ’60s homely feel to it, a perfect match with the old-time family recipes that it serves. Signatures include pork belly braised over charcoal, and a hotchpotch with pork tripe, dried bamboo shoots, halibut and veggies slow-cooked in a chicken and pork bone broth, and rested for a day for flavours to mingle.
