Sören Herzig's restaurant is located in the 15th district, on the ground floor of the historical Dorotheum-Fünfhaus (previously a pawnshop). In this listed building dating back to the 1920s, the dining space was once an auction hall and has a minimalist, industrial-style atmosphere that is reminiscent of a New York gallery – relaxed and distinctively stylish. Gorgeous hardwood flooring, comfortable designer chairs and artwork by the likes of Peter Jellitsch and Clemens Wolf underscore the tastefully chic interior. The spectacular rooftop terrace affords breathtaking views, making it an ideal spot for an aperitif or nightcap. The modern, creative cuisine is precisely crafted and well balanced, showcasing top-quality ingredients. Highlights include "Tristan lobster [tempura], pumpkin, pear, koji rice" or "aubergine [barigoule], beluga lentil, almond, cinnamon blossom". The set menu comes in a large or smaller format and can also be made vegetarian by prior arrangement. The wide-ranging wine list features some interesting picks. Service is warm, attentive and professional.
