L'avis du Guide Michelin
In the bustling heart of the Old Town, Baltā Kaza stands out thanks to its refined, uncluttered Nordic style. Its name translates as ‘white goat’ – so keep an eye out for the goat statue outside, as well as the lovely terrace where you can soak up the atmosphere from the cobbled street. The kitchen takes its inspiration from Latvian favourites then presents the flavours in more modern constructions. You might find a satisfying fish soup, followed by melt-in-the-mouth, slow-cooked beef cheeks, then a moreish mix of white chocolate and sour cream to finish. Friendly service completes the picture.
