The setting for this excellent ‘Gallery of Flavours’ is particularly impressive: a park with an 18th-century Baroque palace, once the castle of Novo Celje, standing in the centre. The welcoming fine dining room and, more importantly, the culinary offerings, always based on local ingredients, prepared and presented with skill and imagination, are definitely more contemporary. The choice is between a concise à la carte menu and a seven-course tasting menu, which can be reduced to five courses. With over 600 labels, the wine cellar is one of the most extraordinary in Slovenia.
