Launched by friends who used to work together at The Wildebeest in Stoke Holy Cross, this intimate restaurant in the heart of Norwich combines the cosiness of a neighbourhood spot with a more formal feel. Seasonal produce from local asparagus to Norfolk Black chicken leads the way and the fixed-price menu has an ambitious streak. At dinner, it moves from three courses to four, with the added ‘primo piatto’ showcasing the chef’s Italian roots through the likes of brown crab risotto or an open raviolo of lamb sweetbread.
