L'avis du Guide Michelin
Dedicated to San Gennaro, whose relics are kept in the nearby Duomo, this address pays homage not only to the city’s patron saint but also to the most authentic traditions of Campanian gastronomy. The table presents a procession of the specialities that have shaped the culinary history of Naples: from polpo alla Luciana to broken ziti with traditional ragù, through to the classic baccalà accompanied by Neapolitan-style escarole. Alongside these icons sit more contemporary offerings, described as ‘non-traditional special dishes’, born of the house’s own creative spirit. Guests are welcomed at the entrance by a well-stocked shop of excellent produce – salumi and cheeses above all – while to either side open two characterful dining rooms, authentic and full of personality.
