The raised, spot-lit open kitchen, enveloped by a counter, give the impression that owner Alex Craciun and his fellow chefs are performing on a stage. There is certainly a theatrical element to many of his creations, which take inspiration from all parts of the world, as the names of his dishes suggest, like ‘French Man in Japan’ and ‘Chinese Man in France’. But there is also plenty of skill on show here, especially if you go for the full tasting menu. The ‘Temaco’, a blend of Mexican taco and Japanese temaki is just one of the standout dishes.
